At column manufacturers recommended conditions

Application examples with Xenoic® XAMS suppressor and ASUREX automatic regenerator used together with columns from several brands to illustrate the flexibility of this setup.

Ion chromatography of anions on a Shodex IC SI-35 4D column (150x4 mm) using an eluent containing 3.6 mM Na₂CO₃ in water pumped at 0.6 mL/min at 45 °C. Background reduced to ~15 µS/cm by XAMS suppressor with ASUREX-A100 automatic regenerator. A Waters ACQUITY Arc system with modules QSM-R and FTN-R were used together with a Waters 432 conductivity detector. Injection of 20 µL of Cl¯ (5 mg/L), Br¯ (10 mg/L) in water.

Ion chromatography of anions on a Hamilton PRP-X110 column (150x4.1 mm) using an eluent containing 1.8 mM Na₂CO₃ and 1.7 mM NaHCO₃ in water pumped at 0.8 mL/min at ambient temperature. Background reduced by XAMS suppressor with ASUREX-A100 automatic regenerator. Eluent pumping, injection and conductivity detection by Cecil Instruments IonQuest 2 system. Injection of 100 µL of about 0.2 mg/L of Cl¯, NO₃¯, SO₄²¯ in water.

Ion chromatography of anions on a Metrosep A Supp 5 column (250x4 mm) using an eluent containing 1.0 mM Na₂CO₃ and 3.2 mM NaHCO₃ in water pumped at 0.7 mL/min at 24 °C. Background reduced to ~18 µS/cm by XAMS suppressor with ASUREX-A100 automatic regenerator. Eluent pumping and conductivity detection by Metrohm 761 Compact IC. Injection of 20 µL of F¯, Cl¯ (2 mg/L), NO₂¯ (5 mg/L), Br¯, NO₃¯ (10 mg/L) in water.

Ion chromatography of anions on a IonPac AS4A-SC column (250x4 mm) using an eluent containing 1.8 mM Na₂CO₃ and 1.7 mM NaHCO₃ in water pumped at 2.0 mL/min at 24 °C. Background reduced to ~13 µS/cm by XAMS suppressor with ASUREX-A100 automatic regenerator. Eluent pumping and conductivity detection by Metrohm 761 Compact IC.
